How we work
Seated, supported and unhurried.
Many residents live with arthritis, tremor or a weak grip. Our technicians work at the resident's pace and rest the hand where it's comfortable for them, whether that's at a table in the common area, in a wheelchair, or at the bedside.
Our technique is conservative: no aggressive cutting, no shared soaking bowls, and no rushing to get through a list. If we see broken skin, swelling or anything that looks like it needs clinical attention, we stop and tell your nursing staff.
For a lot of residents, freshly done nails are about dignity and routine as much as grooming. Seeing the same technician on the same day each rotation makes the visit familiar, and something to look forward to.

Safety and sanitation
Salon licensing standards, practiced in the resident's room.
Infection control is often the first question nursing staff ask. Here is how our technicians will work.
Disinfection between every resident
Reusable implements are cleaned and disinfected in an EPA-registered disinfectant that is tuberculocidal and effective against HIV and Hepatitis B, then stored in a clean closed container.
Single-use where it matters
Files, buffers and wooden sticks are used once and discarded. Nothing porous moves from one resident to the next.
Waterless when appropriate
No shared basins or soaking tubs for at-risk residents. Care is delivered dry or with single-use liners.
We stay in our lane
We are licensed nail technicians, not medical providers. We don't treat wounds, infections or nail disease. Anything of concern goes to your nursing staff or the resident's podiatrist.
Questions
Common questions
Can you do manicures in the resident’s room?
Yes. Our technicians can work in the resident’s room, at the bedside, or in a common area, whichever suits the resident and your building.
Do residents have to have polish?
No. Residents can choose polish or a clean, natural finish. Either way, nails are trimmed, shaped and cleaned.
What happens if you notice a problem with a resident’s hands?
We don’t treat it. We stop, note what we saw, and pass it to your nursing staff so the right person can follow up.
