Nail salon services for nursing homes and senior living.
The nail side of a salon visit, brought to residents of New Jersey nursing homes, assisted living and memory care communities: manicures, pedicures and care for thick nails, on site.
What's included
Everything a nail appointment includes, without the trip.
- Manicures: shaping, cuticle care, buffing, and polish or a natural finish
- Pedicures, seated and fully supported, with no shared foot basins
- Care for thick and difficult nails
- A salon day in a common room, or visits in residents’ rooms
- Fragrance-light products for sensitive skin
- Nail care only: we don’t offer hair services
How we work
How it fits with your community’s salon.
Many senior living communities have an in-house beauty salon or a visiting hairstylist, and nail care is easy to leave out. Skilled Nail Care focuses only on nails, so it can sit alongside your existing salon services rather than replace them.
Nail visits can run on the same day as your salon day, so residents can have their hair and nails done in one outing, or on a separate standing day. Residents who can’t get to the salon can be seen in their own room, or at the bedside in a nursing home.
Every visit follows salon licensing standards for sanitation, practiced in the resident’s room: reusable tools disinfected between residents, single-use files and buffers, and no shared soaking tubs.

Safety and sanitation
Salon licensing standards, practiced in the resident's room.
Infection control is often the first question nursing staff ask. Here is how our technicians will work.
Disinfection between every resident
Reusable implements are cleaned and disinfected in an EPA-registered disinfectant that is tuberculocidal and effective against HIV and Hepatitis B, then stored in a clean closed container.
Single-use where it matters
Files, buffers and wooden sticks are used once and discarded. Nothing porous moves from one resident to the next.
Waterless when appropriate
No shared basins or soaking tubs for at-risk residents. Care is delivered dry or with single-use liners.
We stay in our lane
We are licensed nail technicians, not medical providers. We don't treat wounds, infections or nail disease. Anything of concern goes to your nursing staff or the resident's podiatrist.
Questions
Common questions
Do you offer haircuts or other hair services?
No. We focus on nail care only: manicures, pedicures and care for thick or difficult nails. Our technicians can work alongside your community’s hairstylist or in-house salon.
Can nail care happen in our beauty salon?
Yes. If your community has a salon space, nail visits can take place there. They can also happen in a common room or in residents’ rooms.
Is it the same as a visit to a nail salon?
It covers the same core nail services, adapted for older adults: seated and supported, at the resident’s pace, with a conservative technique.
How is pricing set?
Pricing depends on how many residents need care and how often you’d like us to visit. You get clear pricing in writing before anything is booked.
